Antique Jade Bangle, Hetian Nephrite, Qing Dynasty
A fine quality antique nephrite jade bangle with very fine double carving. This is Hetian jade from the Khotan province. The color is a white with tan areas and the carving is excellent and unusual showing multiple carving styles. It dates from the Qing Dynasty late 18th/early 19th century. It has a beautiful fatty luster and silky smooth finish. The carving is unusual in that it combines lace-like openwork carving with a double carved panel. The bangle measures a little under 1 inch wide (19 mm) with an inside diameter of 60 mm to fit a medium wrist. It is in fine antique condition with no chips or cracks. it weighs 90.7 grams. A piece of history for the jade connoisseur.
