Baltic Amber Necklace, Multicolor Chunks
Baltic amber multi-color chunky necklace. Approximately 26 inches long with amber screw clasp. Large chunks of completely natural amber measuring up to 2.5 inches each. Colors include egg yolk amber, whiskey amber, cognac amber, and black cherry amber. Hand knotted between each chunk. A vintage piece dating from the 1970s. Amber is the fossilized resin of extinct pine trees which grew about 40 million years ago when dinosaurs walked the earth. To be true amber it must be fossilized, Warm to the touch and lightweight to wear, amber is an almost magical organic gem which often has desirable inclusions of flora or fauna. Touching amber is like touching time itself.
