Jade Pendant Necklace, Qing Dynasty Hetian Nephrite
An unusual Hetian nephrite jade pendant necklace incorporating a unique pi shaped pendant inscribed with a poem on one side and a floral motif on the other. Dates from the Qing Dynasty. The pendant is suspended from a new custom made neck cord compatable with the celadon green color of the jade. The jade measures approximately 2.5 inches wide, 1.75 inches long, and weighs 59.1 grams. It has a beautiful fatty luster and silky feel. The calligraphy is very well done and probably relates to the flowers. A lovely piece of history to wear today.
