Mutton Fat Nephrite Bangle, Qing Dynasty
An exquisite antique mutton fat nephrite bangle purchased in Hong Kong during the 1920s. My grandmother traveled extensively to Hong Kong in the 1920s and began a large collection of jade which I am now offering to other jade lovers. This bangle dates from the 18th/19th century. It is museum quality with excellent carving. The color is lardy white with beautiful translucence, nice fatty luster and silky feel. The inside diameter is 53 mm to fit a small wrist. Weighs 54.8 grams. Excellent condition. A beautiful piece of historically significant handmade jewelry for the jade connoisseur, this piece was authenticated at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum in 1974.
