Mutton Fat Jade Bangle, Qing Dynasty, Estate Jewelry
An antique white nephrite mutton fat jade bangle bracelet circa 1800s, Qing Dynasty. My grandmother traveled extensively to Hong Kong during the 1920s and began a jade collection which I inherited, and which I am now sharing with other jade collectors. The color of this bangle is lardy white with some cloud inclusions. Beautiful fatty luster and silky feel. Weighs a substantial 90.5 grams. Inside diameter is 64mm to fit a medium wrist. This is part of her jade collection which was evaluated at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum in 1974. Excellent condition. A fine bangle for the jade connoisseur.
